I-Beams
The Lumberworx I-Beam (LIB) is an engineered ‘I’ shaped structural beam for use in residential industrial and commercial construction.
Pre-fabricated from laminated veneer lumber (LVL), radiata pine flanges pressed and adhered onto a plywood web. They are a popular choice and alternative to solid timber for:
- floor joists
- beams
- rafters

for use under New Zealand conditions.
65 Series
65 Series I-Beams are a unique combination of timber components and advanced technology forming a structurally superior solution for construction.
They offer designers more flexibility with longer spans and the ability to cut service holes in the webs and builders favour the light weight and quicker installation time.
65mm I-Beams are available in four depths, all with a flange width of 63mm:
- 200mm
- 240mm
- 300mm
- 360mm
I-Beams are supplied in lengths from 3.0 to 9.6 metres, in increments of 600mm

90 Series
90 Series I-Beams offer the same unique combination of timber components but with more width in the flange. This allows greater span than the 65 Series and can eliminate costly intermediate bearers; 90mm I-Beams can be used in the same project as the Lumberworx 65 series and this combination emphasises the efficiency and effectiveness of the Lumberworx I-Beam range.
90mm I-Beams are available in four depths, all with a flange width of 88mm:
- 200mm
- 240mm
- 300mm
- 360mm
I Beams are supplied in lengths from 3.0 to 9.6 metres, in increments of 600mm
