Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL)


Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) is an engineered wood product which provides a consistent, high performance alternative to solid lumber and steel for structural applications.

 

Developed as a reliable replacement for finger-jointed timber as flanges for proprietary wooden I-beams, LVL is also suited to a wide range of structural applications including:

  • pitched rafters
  • floor joists
  • bearers
  • lintels
  • roof beams

LVL IndvProds

LVL 35

35mm LVL is available in grade E11 only and is suited to rafters and floor joists in light residential construction.

LVL 35mm can be laminated to form 70 and 105mm members.

LVL 45

The most common and versatile sizing, it is available  E11 and E13 grades. Applications include rafters and floor joists in residential and light commercial construction.

LVL 45mm can be nail laminated to form 90mm and 135mm beams, lintels and bearers.

LVL 63

Suitable l for a wide range of uses, it is available in E11 and E13 grades.

Lower depth members can be used where depth is critical for floor joists and rafters and full depth members can be used in the same project as 45mm LVL to achieve longer spans where required.

63mm LVL is suited to commercial applications such as rafters, roof beams, floor joists and bearers, and in commercial timber framed buildings.

LVL 90

Imported by Lumberworx in E14 grade.

90mm LVL is suited to bearers, roof beams and lintels. The higher stiffness of E14 LVL often allows a smaller section size to be used.

This product is suitable for applications in commercial timber framed buildings.
